Duties and standards
How often does an HVAC system need to be cleaned?
There is no single fixed interval for every system: the frequency depends on the cleanliness class in the relevant technical standard and on how the rooms served are used, as well as on the Italian State-Regions agreement on managing hygiene risk. An office and an operating theatre do not follow the same maintenance schedule.

Who is responsible for cleaning in a residential block or in a company?
In a company, responsibility for the hygienic maintenance of the systems lies with the employer, with technical support from the RSPP (the company health and safety officer); in a residential block (condominium) the building manager must organise it on behalf of the owners, unless the contract divides the duty differently. In both cases the operational decision rests with whoever manages the building, not with the individual occupant.

What is the difference between a visual and a technical inspection?
A visual inspection checks by eye, through the access doors and terminals that can be reached, the apparent condition of the system: dust, mould, obvious damage. A technical inspection goes further, with instrument measurements and, where necessary, microbiological sampling, and it is what establishes whether cleaning is needed.

Documents
What does the technical report contain?
The technical report records the condition of the system found at the site survey, the work carried out on each component, the results of the before and after cleaning samples where required, and any comments by the technician on critical points. It is the document that shows, with verifiable data, what was done.

What are before and after cleaning samples (ANTE and POST operam)?
They are the two samples that accompany a cleaning job: the ANTE (before) sample records the microbiological contamination before the work, the POST (after) sample checks the result once the cleaning is done. It is the comparison between the two laboratory reports, not a single figure, that shows the work was effective.

How does the customer receive the documents?
The customer receives the documents — technical report, photos and job completion slips — from the company that carried out the cleaning, in the way agreed between the parties.

The app and your data
Is AerPuro AIISA-certified?
No: AerPuro is not certified by AIISA. It is built on the association’s guidelines and Operating Protocol. Professional certifications, such as ASCS or CVI, belong to individual technicians, not to the software.

Is data shared between different companies that use AerPuro?
No: each customer company has its own data, kept separate from the others, with no view that combines data across customers. The servers are in Switzerland, a country the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection, with encrypted daily backups.
